Privacy
Your data stays yours.
Local-first isn't a feature — it's the design. Neither the airpi device nor this site assumes you want to hand over your data.
The airpi device
No cloud
Readings never leave your home
Sensor data is served over your local network only. There are no accounts, no subscriptions, and no remote servers involved in the current design.
On-device only
Credentials stay on the device
Wi-Fi credentials are stored on the device's own storage, are never printed, and are never sent to any service. If the network is lost, the device retries locally and can re-open its setup network.
Honest states
No fabricated data
The firmware never generates simulated air-quality readings. Missing or stale data is reported as such and is never displayed as a healthy zero.
You own the build
Open and replaceable
Because airpi uses standard modules and open firmware, you can inspect exactly what the device does and repair or replace parts yourself.
CSV export, 24-hour history, and the Prometheus /metrics endpoint are available now. They keep data on your local network for your own tools and will never introduce cloud uploads.
This website
The public site at dadalab.pages.dev is a plain, static site.
- No cookies, no analytics, and no third-party trackers are used.
- No accounts, logins, or personal data collection of any kind.
- Pages are served as static files by Cloudflare Pages; standard web server logs may record routine request data (such as IP addresses) as part of hosting.
This statement reflects the project's current under-development state and may be updated as the product and site evolve. Changes will be reflected here.
